Here's the setting. You are in a Café and your mind is open.
There are multiple people gathered around you. Ordering coffee , pastries or large orders for their colleagues. There are conversations you can hear because you are sitting alone and taking in your surroundings. Some of which are the sounds of the steam coming from the espresso machine frothing someone's latte. Or the sounds of the blender as the young girl "Sarah" as they announced, ordered a strawberry frappe and is talking to her friend about how unhappy she is. Her life seems to be complicated, and unsteady as she says "I am just so done with everyone. Nobody is worth anything anymore and everyone has lost their minds"
A mother is telling her child "Grab some napkins and go find us a spot to sit down" while she wraps herself in her cardigan as she waits in line to order a coffee and treats for her kids.
Life is happening here. In this little Cafe, and the World.
Then all of a sudden, the lady you watched from the inside looking out in the Denali pulls around to the front of the Cafe and storms through the small, but elegant front doors colored in sage. She is angry that her child received a different item in their box than she requested and is yelling at the lady in the front taking orders.
There are so many different points of view happening in this scenario.
First, is my point of view. The third person perspective of watching these individuals live their lives while mine seems to have stopped to watch them like watching wild animals in a foreign land.
The second, is the point of view of the lady telling her children to "get some napkins and find a spot to sit down" She could possibly just be enjoying her day with her kids and treating them to the Cafe. Or, another possibility is, she could have just heard some bad news and doesn't know what else to do and needs some time to think.
The third and fourth are the perspecitves of the angry lady in the Denali, and the employee taking the force of the blow for something they may or may not have done. One person has maybe had too many wrong things happen and this was just one of those instances where they blow up...we have all been there. Or maybe this person is just genuinely angry and lacks something in their life.
Because that is the cause for anger correct? The lack of something?
Whether it be an apology, accountability, or just needing more love.
Humans are beautiful beings. We are all so similar and different at the same time and if you sit and watch and really listen you can see how precious the human heart is...and the words we speak.
My words could either plant a positive or negative seed in your brain. I have the power to help you think of something, we all do. If I use my words for the negative, it may sound something like overhearing "I am just so done with everyone. Nobody is worth anything anymore and everyone has lost their minds" This can be a harmless, casual way to say you just haven't found your people. Everyone is allowed to speak their opinion but just please remember others can hear you if you are in public. Someone who is trying to look for any light to not harm themselves may hear you. Someone who may have just heard they have a week to live can hear you. Children who believe in a world that can have love. can. hear. you.
We like to think we are having private conversations in public and if someone overhears you that they shouldn't have been listening, but can it really be a private conversation if everyone can hear you?
Our ears are open 24/7 and sometimes we may never know the negative or the positive conversations going on around us all the time...
My overall point, is to love others the way you want to be loved. I know we cant have a perfect world, but love is why we keep going. Love is why we fall down to get back up again.
Look into someone's eyes today, and really hear them.
....and if nobody has told you, I love you and wish you happiness always!
